The Schoemanpark Golf Academy has delivered a number of success stories over the years. A number of members have gone on to make their mark on the National and International scenes. J’be Kruger, still under Corne’s tutelage, has won tournaments in South Africa as well as on the Asian Tour. Jbe is currently ranked 20th on the Sunshine Tour. Alex Haindl competes in the Sunshine Tour and is currently 38th on the OOM.

Dean Burmester, latest to join the winner’s circle is currently ranked 60th on the Sunshine Tour.  Here follows his Biography as stated on the Sunshine Tour Website:

“Dean represents Schoeman Park Golf Club and is a proud product of the Free State region. He has a distinguished amateur career which includes selection for his province in the 2008 and 2009 inter provincials. He also won the International Team Championships in 2009, and decided to turn pro the year after. He endured a tough first season on the Sunshine Tour, but has steadily improved since, and found himself inside the top 40 on the order of merit in 2012. Although Dean is still chasing his maiden victory, he nonetheless has five top 10 finishes under his belt and showed his mettle as he came second in the Big Easy Tour Championship in 2011. His 2012 season has without question been his breakthrough year, and the fact that he at one point made six consecutive cuts was indicative of his consistency.”

At the Tour School 2014 in January, the following members received their Big Easy Cards. They were Johann Mostert, Jacques de Villiers, Zak van Zyl and Neo Thubisi.

We are very fortunate to have talented members featuring on the Amateur rankings of SAGA. Burger Heckroodt, Attie van Wyk and MW de Wet are part of the FS Provincial Team.

The Schoemanpark Golf Academy has delivered and will keep on delivering players who will go on to make an impression on National and International Tournaments
